CD Guzman
The Via Lingua TEFL training center located in Mexico, the International English and Computer Training Center, is in Ciudad Guzman, Jalisco, Mexico, about 75 miles southwest of Guadalajara, a city of 6 million people, and about 75 miles north of Colima and the ocean beaches of Tecoman and Manzanillo. The city has a second traditional name of Zapotlan El Grande. Ciudad Guzman's elevation is about 5000 feet and it is nestled at the foot of a dormant volcano. In the distance, there are volcanic mountains, some of which are slightly active from time to time.
The population of the Ciudad Guzman area is about 175,000. However, the city is the central shopping area for many smaller hamlets and agriculture communities in the area and is a bustling commercial center. The city, during October yearly, is occupied by about 200,000 people. People stroll through the clean and quaint plaza and, on the weekend, people of all ages gather in the town square to socialize. Although small family businesses predominate in Ciudad Guzman, agriculture and industry are also important to this area.
Ciudad Guzman is an ecological and cultural center in Jalisco, Mexico. It is virtually surrounded by federally protected natural biospheres. The United Nations biosphere, Las Pinas, is located near to the city limits of Ciudad Guzman. The lakes and mountains are incredible natural resources of the country of Mexico. Ciudad Guzman is also a cultural center of Jalisco. Mexicans in this part of the world are known for the preservation of their cultural heritage and background, and you see evidence of it everywhere. The people of Ciudad Guzman boast that they are the birthplace of some of Mexico 's most famous writers and artists, the most famous being world renown artist Jose Clemento Orozco.
It is a Colonial city and is steeped in Mexican tradition, architecture and social life. The people are friendly and very helpful to their neighbors and friends. Most of all, Ciudad Guzman is one of the safest and cleanest cities in Jalisco, Mexico.
IECTC is a relatively new language and computer center. We offer English courses for all ages, from Kindergarten to Adult. Our owners and trainers are experts in training teachers and are both US citizens. Trainees will be able to do their practice teaching with a variety of age groups. It is also a center for learning computer software and hardware along with English. If this is your area of expertise you will have an opportunity to practice your teaching in computer classes also.
