Milan
Milan is Italy's business hub and the crucible of chic. It is the country's most populous and prosperous city, serving as the capital for commerce, fashion, finance, media and design. Fashion is the city's largest industry and Milan is home to most of Italy's high-fashion houses such as Gucci, Prada and Armani. You can be forgiven for sometimes confusing the sidewalks in the city center with the catwalk! Milan is also Italy's transport hub, with the most train lines and international and low-fare airports. Major European cities like Barcelona, Paris, London and Rome can be reached both quickly and inexpensively.
More European than Italian, Milan attracts outsiders with its open, freewheeling commercial culture and acceptance of new ideas. English in Milan is both a necessity and a requirement for employment.
